Univision NY wins 8 Emmys, including best newscast

WXTV Univision 41 took home the Emmy for best “Evening Newscast Larger Markets” and won in 7 other categories during the 59th Annual New York Emmy Awards held last Saturday night.

The Univision NY news team celebrates 8 Emmy wins, including best newscast.

Univision 41’s top honor was for its December 14, 2014 live broadcast of the Eric Garner protests in New York City.

Other Spanish-language networks that picked up awards: NY 1 Noticias, which won 3 Emmys and Telemundo 47 secured one.
