TV Azteca partners with Combate Américas, launches Calle-hosted MMA show

Andrea Calle hosts “Combate Américas Azteca.”

Azteca América viewers will get a chance to see live mixed martial arts action thanks to an exclusive deal with Hispanic MMA sports franchise Combate Américas and TV Azteca.

As part of a year-long agreement TV Azteca and Azteca América will broadcast live world champion MMA events in the U.S. and Mexico.

The network will also produce a weekly series that will showcase Combate Américas fights to date and highlight the league’s fighters and celebrity personalities.

Andrea Calle will host “Combate Américas Azteca,” which premieres Thursday, November, 3 at 10 pm ET in the U.S. on Azteca América, and on Friday, November 4 at 11 pm on TV Azteca’s Channel 7 in Mexico.

The monthly live events air live in the U.S. and the following night in Mexico.

The first live event under the new partnership is scheduled to be broadcast from Mexico City on Thursday, January 19.
