Telemundo kicks off Confederations Cup coverage

“Un Nuevo Día” hosts Daniel Sarcos and Rashel Díaz have will broadcast live from Russia.

The FIFA 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia officially kicks off tomorrow and Telemundo, which owns the Spanish-language U.S. broadcast rights, is pulling out all the stops.

The network has sent an army of people to cover the tournament and it’s cross promoting it on all of its sports, news and entertainment programs, with hosts and anchors from its top shows broadcasting live from Russia.

Telemundo will broadcast and stream all matches live and for the first time ever, it will fully produce all the games on-site.

Production of the 2017 Confederations Cup is considered to be a “dry run” for the network’s biggest and most expensive sports event in its history – the 2018 World Cup, also taking place in Russia.
