As he moves to his new role, Rodríguez will no longer anchor weekends. A weekend anchor replacement will be announced soon.

In both cities, the newscast, which will air Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm local time, will collaborate with personalities from Univision’s local radio and digital properties.

The local noon newscasts are modeled after the network’s “Noticiero Univision Edición Digital,” which premiered September 12, 2016.

Local versions of “Edición Digital” were launched earlier this year in California, Dallas, Miami, New York and Houston.
