Marrero starts new role at Foreign Policy magazine

Diana Marrero

Diana Marrero has left The Hill to become VP of Strategic Development at Foreign Policy magazine.

She’ll now be working with global partners on events, research and marketing initiatives that create thought leadership opportunities for clients.

Her last day at The Hill was Wednesday, July 11, starting at Foreign Policy the next day.

“I’ve always wanted to work in the foreign affairs space and the opportunity to put my skills to use to help strengthen a highly-respected global media brand like Foreign Policy was too good to pass up,” Marrero tells Media Moves.

“While It was a tough decision to leave my role as Director of The Hill Latino, the media brand I launched in 2016, I’m incredibly proud of the work we did over the last couple of years. Now, I have a much broader set of issues to work with and I can’t wait to see my projects start to take shape around the globe.”

Marrero joined The Hill as Director of Content Partnerships in 2014, before taking on the role of Director of The Hill Latino.

She previously spent two years as a national account executive for the Washington Post, and was Acting Washington Bureau Chief for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel from 2008 to 2010.

Marrero has also worked as a Washington correspondent for the USA Today Network and as a staff writer for the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
