NBC Bay Area evening news anchor Jessica Aguirre has been inducted to the 2018 Silver Circle of the San Francisco/Northern California Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts.
Aguirre, a news anchor in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 20 years, has been at the NBC station since 2007. She currently anchors the 6 and 11 pm newscasts. She previously spent nine years as an anchor at the ABC station.
Prior to her move to Northern California, Aguirre was a reporter at KABC in Los Angeles from 1997 to 1998.
She got her start at Univision in Miami, before making her cross-over into English-language news at the CBS station.
