Reporter Alexis Boentes is moving up 13 markets, staying within the Telemundo family.
Boentes, who started at Telemundo Tampa in May, is leaving the station to join Telemundo 51 in Miami.
His last day in Tampa is this Friday, November 23. After a weekend break, he starts the new gig in Miami.
Prior to Telemundo, Boentes spent two years as an MMJ for Univision WVEA Tampa Bay.
He previously worked as a news anchor, video journalist, producer and writer for Deutsche Welle’s “DW en Español,” Mexican public network Sistema Jaliciense de Radio y Televisión (SJRTV) and the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television.
