Reporter Carlos Vázquez Otero has left El Sentinel newspaper in Orlando for an opportunity in television.
Today was his last day.
Vázquez will continue to be based in Orlando as he takes on a new position as a managing editor and producer for the local Entravision-owned Univision affiliate.
He starts the new job on Tuesday, November 27.
Before joining El Sentinel since April 2017, Vázquez worked as social media production unit coordinator for Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico, where he also taught a multimedia journalism class from 2013 to 2016. He also was a freelance video creator.
He has also freelanced for ABC newspaper in Spain.
