Priscilla Alvarez has joined the CNN Politics team as a reporter with a focus on immigration policy and politics.
She continues to be based in Washington, D.C.
Prior to CNN, she spent three years as a politics editor and writer at The Atlantic, where she covered the 2016 presidential election, the first years of the Trump administration and U.S. immigration policy.
Before that, she was a 2015 fellow at the National Journal and a collegiate correspondent for USA Today.
Alvarez has also appeared on CNN’S The Lead with Jake Tapper, CBS This Morning, MSBNC, and NPR.
