Liz Zamora takes a step up into her first news director job at WTVA in Tupelo, MS.
She begins her new role as news director at the Heartland Media-owned NBC and ABC affiliate on Monday, March 4.
She’ll oversee production of nine hours of daily news programming.
Zamora arrives to Mississippi from Reno, where she was assistant news director at NBC affiliate KRNV from October 2017 until December 2018. She was previously assistant news director at WALB in Albany, GA for four years.
Zamora has worked her way up the newsroom ranks, starting her career as a videographer in Springfield, MO, before moving to a role in front of the camera as a reporter and anchor. She embarked on a management path in 2013 at WALB.
