Mariel Ruiz is wrapping up her run as morning metereologist at KTHV-11, the TEGNA CBS affiliate in Little Rock, Arkansas. Today is her last day.
She joined THV11’s weather team in June of 2016, before being named morning meteorologist in February 2018.
Ruiz is moving to the company’s sister station KVUE in Austin – an ABC affiliate – to become the station’s morning metereologist.
For the Arlington native, the move marks a return to her home state of Texas.
Ruiz began her career as morning meteorologist at KWES-TV and fill-in weather anchor for Telemundo 20 in Odessa/Midland.
