KRGV has hired reporter Rudy Mireles as its newest addition to the Channel 5 News team.
Mireles will work for the ABC affiliate’s 5, 6 and 10 weekday newscasts.
He made his on-air debut at the station this week.
Mireles’ prior experience was in radio, although he did a two-month stint at KRGV in early 2019.
He was previoulsy a morning news anchor for IHeartMedia in Toledo, Ohio.
Before that, Mireles, a Rio Grande Valley native, spent 11 years in the U.S. Air Force.
