Sylvia Rosabal named Director of the Office of Cuba Broadcasting

Sylvia Rosabal has been selected to be the new Director of the Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB), part of the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM).

She’ll be based in Miami.

OCB is a USAGM public service media network that oversees Radio and Televisión Martí and martinoticias.com, headquartered in Miami, Florida.

Rosabal spent over 30 years in management roles in Spanish-language television networks.

She was SVP of News at Telemundo Network, in charge of newsgathering and prime-time investigative specials from 2012 to 2016, exiting the company during a network news reorganization.

An award-winning media executive, she spent the bulk of her career – 26 years – at Univision Network, where she spearheaded the expansion of the news division.
