José Andino is joining ABC News as Vice President, Office of the President and Process Management.
In this newly create role, Andino will be tasked with implementing key initiatives and goals involving cultural change and business management. He’ll be planning and managing the strategic direction of the newly formed Project Management Office (PMO). He’ll work to improve project management in all verticals and help news leadership build high-impact and executable strategies.
Andino will continue to be based in New York and report directly to ABC News president Kim Godwin, whom he has worked with in the past at CBS News and KNBC.
“Though Jose’s background has been HR, this is not an HR role,” said Godwin in a message to staff. “It is an executive process management role reporting directly to me. We have lots of moving parts, and Jose will help us as we continue to work toward becoming a more efficient organization where all can thrive. I’ve known Jose for 20 years and watched him help transform the culture at several organizations through his focused but friendly approach.”
He starts the new job on August 16.
Andino was most recently SVP of Human Resources at CBS News, a position he held since 2019. He has previously held executive HR positions at NBC Universal, Telemundo, CNBC, CNN and Mediapro.
