Laura Barrón-López named PBS White House correspondent

Laura Barron-Lopez

Laura Barrón-López is moving on to a new role as White House correspondent for PBS NewsHour.

She will cover the Biden administration for the longtime PBS news program, starting June 13.

Barrón-López leaves Politico, where she has worked since December 2018 as a national political reporter and most recently, White House correspondent.

A CNN political analyst for the past three years, she’ll continue in that role while working for PBS.

She has also worked as a political reporter for the Washington Examiner and HuffPost and as an energy and environment reporter for The Hill.

Barrón-López replaces Yamiche Alcindor, who left in March to become a Washington correspondent for NBC News.
