Telemundo Houston KTMD has promoted Lorena Cavazos to VP of sales and has hired Stephanie Loya as local sales manager.
Cavazos, who was the station’s local sales manager since 2013, takes over her new role from Patricia Buchanan, who left KTMD in January to become president and GM of KVDA Telemundo 60 San Antonio and KASA Telemundo Nuevo México.
Before KTMD, she was a general sales manager at Liberman Broadcasting.
Cavazos will report to Jose Flores, President and GM of Telemundo Houston and McAllen.
Although her promotion was announced today, she started her new role on February 21.
Loya joins KTMD from KTLM Telemundo 40 McAllen, where she was national sales manager since 2010. She then took on a dual-station leadership role in 2020 adding national sales for KTDO Telemundo 48 El Paso.
Loya started her new role April 24.
