Luis Gerardo Nuñez

Luis Gerardo Núñez heads back to New York’s Telemundo 47

August 30, 2024 by Veronica Villafañe

Luis Gerardo Núñez is heading back to New York. He’ll rejoin WNJU Telemundo 47 as a general assignment reporter.

He’ll be filling the position formerly held by Ana Ledo, who departed the station earlier this year.

His first day is Monday, September 23.

Núñez previously worked as a reporter at WNJU from 2016 through 2020, leaving the station for an anchor opportunity in Texas.

He most recently spent the past four years as a news anchor and reporter at KTMD Telemundo Houston.

In August, Telemundo Houston announced a series of talent changes, and Nuñez, who had been anchoring in the afternoon, transitioned from the desk back to full-time reporting.

Nuñez has also worked for Telemundo stations in Dallas and Miami.
