Samantha Mesa joins Fox 17 as weeknight anchor

Samantha Mesa has started a new job as weeknight co-anchor of Fox 17’s  5, 6, 10 and 11 pm newscasts.

Before joining the Scripps-owned Grand Rapids station on the evening news desk, she spent three years as a morning and midday anchor and reporter at WOI-DT, TEGNA’s ABC affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa.

Mesa has also worked as a morning anchor and reporter at KGBT Rio Grande Valley and WHAM Rochester, New York.

The Colorado native started her on-air TV news career as a reporter and anchor for KRIS 6 News in Corpus Christi, Texas.
