Jacqueline Hernández, MediaCo Interim CEO since April 2024, has stepped down from the role. She had been instrumental in MediaCo’s acquisition of Estrella Media.
Hernández will remain on the company’s board of directors.
Longtime SBS exec Alberto Rodríguez succeeds her, also as Interim CEO.
Rodríguez joined the company in January as Chief Revenue Officer and President of MediaCo Audio, after spending more than 24 years at Spanish Broadcasting System, resigning from his position as President and COO in December 2023.
As part of the leadership changes, Estrella Media Chief Digital and Streaming Officer René Santaella was promoted to MediaCo’s Chief Operating Officer. He replaces Brian Kei.
Santaella joined Estrella Media in 2020 as EVP of Digital and Streaming Media. He was promoted to Chief Digital and Streaming Officer in June 2022.
