Carlos Sánchez leaves El Paso for anchor role at Telemundo 52

December 10, 2024 by Veronica Villafañe

Carlos Sánchez is making a big move from Texas to California to join KVEA Telemundo 52 in the nation’s No. 1 Hispanic market.

The award-winning journalist will take on a new role as weekend news anchor and weekday reporter at the Los Angeles station.

He’ll make his on-air debut in January.

Sánchez has been weekday anchor for Noticiero Telemundo 48 in El Paso since 2018.

Before that, he spent two years as a news anchor for KTLM Telemundo 40 Rio Grande Valley.

Sánchez was previously a reporter at KTDO in El Paso. He also worked eight years as an anchor at XHIJ Canal 44 in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.
