Camila Bernal joins NBC News as Los Angeles correspondent

January 8, 2025 by Veronica Villafañe

Camila Bernal will join the NBC News network team as a Los Angeles-based correspondent starting Monday, January 13.

She will be reporting across all NBC News platforms.

Bernal makes the move from CNN, where she was most recently a national correspondent for the cable network based in Los Angeles.

Before that, she was a correspondent for CNN Newsource in Washington, D.C., delivering live reports in both English and Spanish.

During her time at CNN, Bernal covered a wide range of major stories, including west coast wildfires, the 2020 presidential election, and Supreme Court confirmation hearings.

Prior to CNN, she was a general assignment reporter at KRON in San Francisco and a bilingual reporter for the CBS/Telemundo Austin duopoly, KEYE-TV, in Texas.

This new role marks a return to NBCU News Group for Bernal, who previously worked as a digital producer for WTVJ-6 in Miami and a web producer for Telemundo.
