Telemundo 47 adds Yilber Vega as full time reporter

Yilber Vega has officially joined WNJU-TV Telemundo 47’s news team as a full-time general assignment reporter, effective March 31.

Vega had been freelancing at the New York station since June 2024.

He previously worked as a New York-based multiplatform journalist for CNN en Español from 2014 to 2023.

His prior experience includes roles as a New York correspondent for Colombian TV Networks NTN24 and RCN, as well as for Colombian radio stations La FM and Caracol Radio. He was also a newscaster for Radio Unica New York.

Vega began his journalism career in his native Colombia as a reporter for several radio networks and for the Channel 1 TV newscast show “Noticiero de las Siete.”
