May 14, 2025 by Veronica Villafañe Leave a Comment

Telemundo is expanding its consumer investigative units with the launch of “Telemundo California Responde.”

The new initiative will operate through Telemundo 33 Sacramento (KCSO) and Telemundo 51 Fresno (KNSO), beginning Monday, June 2.

News anchor and multimedia journalist Carolina Prato will lead the investigative team.

Prato joined Telemundo 33 Sacramento in April 2025. She previously worked as an MMJ and producer at Estrella TV in Houston. Before that, she spent nearly 15 years as a news anchor and reporter for Milenio and Multimedios Television in Monterrey, Mexico. She also hosted her own program on RG La Deportiva Radio for 14 years.

“Telemundo California Responde” investigations will air during Noticiero Telemundo California broadcasts, which air simultaneously on both stations Monday through Friday at 12 p.m., 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m., and weekends at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Telemundo-owned stations introduced local consumer investigative units in 2014 across the country, including San Jose, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, Las Vegas, Chicago, Phoenix, and  Orlando,  among others.
