Javier Zarracina has joined The Washington Post as Head of Graphics.
He started his new role May 14.
He will continue to be based in Washington DC.
“It’s an incredible honor to step into this role at one of the world’s most respected news organizations, and I can’t wait to collaborate with the amazing graphics team, whose work I’ve long admired,” Zarracina shared on social media.
Zarracina joins the Post after nearly six years as graphics director at USA TODAY. He previously worked at VOX as the online publication’s first graphics editor.
His prior experience includes roles as data visualization and graphics editor at the Los Angeles Times, and Graphics Director at The Boston Globe and the San Jose Mercury News.
