Veteran television journalist Enrique Teuteló has parted ways with Telemundo Dallas after the station opted not to renew his contract, bringing an end to his 11-year tenure.
Teuteló served as the station’s primetime anchor since 2014.
A company spokesperson says no decision has been made yet on whether he’ll be replaced. Co-anchor Norma García will continue anchoring solo for the time being.
Before joining Telemundo Dallas, Teuteló had an extensive career with Univision at both local and network levels as an anchor and correspondent.
His experience included serving as morning newscast anchor for Univision 41 in New York, weekend anchor for the network newscast “Noticiero Univision,” and anchor of the weekday late evening newscast “Última Hora.”
Teuteló also worked as a weekday news anchor and reporter for Univision’s Miami station WLTV-23 and as a national correspondent for Noticiero Univision in San Antonio.
He began his journalism career in the U.S. in 2000 as a general assignment reporter for Univision 45 Houston.
