Norma Roque adds anchor duties at Univision Los Angeles

June 11, 2025 by Veronica Villafañe Leave a Comment

KMEX Univision Los Angeles has named Norma Roque anchor of its Sunday 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.

Her appointment comes three decades after she arrived to the station.

In addition to her new Sunday anchoring responsibilities, she will continue her reporting duties Monday through Thursday.

An award-winning journalist, Roque joined KMEX-34 in 1995 as a reporter.

Prior to her time at the L.A. station, she spent six years at KFTV-21, Univision’s station in Fresno, California, where she worked as a reporter, anchor, writer and producer.

Roque is a native of El Salvador, who came to the United States with her family during the 1980s, fleeing the country’s civil war.
