Laredo station mourns news director’s death

Ray Gomez, news director for Pro 8 News (NBC affiliate), the CW and Telemundo in Laredo, passed away last night. He apparently became ill over a week ago. He was 45.

Ray is survived by his wife Diana “Deedee” Fuentes, the editor of the Laredo Morning Times. Employees at his station bid him farewell during their noon newscast.
