KFWB for sale

March 31, 2010 by Veronica Villafañe

CBS Radio is putting KFWB-AM (980) for sale, 8 years after the FCC ordered the network to dump one of its L.A. properties to comply with ownership limits in one market.

According to an L.A. Business Journal story, industry watchers say the news and talk station will most likely be bought by foreign-language broadcasters, such as Spanish, Korean or Persian.

L.A. currently has 9 FM and 7 AM radio stations.
