More prime-time viewers are tuning in to Univision than NBC. Last week was the second time in 4 weeks that the Spanish-language net edged out one of the big 4 English-language networks.
According to the L.A. Times, Univision said on Tuesday that on about 50% of nights during the first quarter of 2011, it got more 18-49 viewers than NBC.
Univision still trails NBC by an average of 579,000 viewers in the adult demo, based on the Dec. 27 to April 3 period. A year earlier that gap was much bigger – 1.9 million more viewers tuned in to NBC.
