NBC launching 24/7 channels

May 3, 2011 by Veronica Villafañe

NBC California Nonstop is the name of the 24/7 “local and regional news, information and lifestyle” channel debuting today. Three NBC local stations in California – NBC-4 in L.A., KNTV-11 in the Bay Area and KNSD-39 in San Diego have teamed up to produce the content that will air on their respective digital channels.

Programming will feature shows produced specifically for the channel by the 3 California stations, as well as programs produced by NBC Local Media. Each station will also produce an hour-long newscast that will air at 7 pm in their respective markets.

Mark Mullen and Catherine Garcia will anchor the San Diego newscast.

NBC stations in Dallas and Miami will also be launching 24/7 Nonstop channels this week.
