Sirius XM hires Panzera

May 27, 2011 by Veronica Villafañe

Mauro Panzera joins SiriusXM as VP of Hispanic Marketing, a newly created position. He’ll be based in NYC. He was previously Senior Director of Multicultural Marketing at Comcast from 2002 to 2009.

A native of Venezuela, Mauro has more than 20 years marketing experience in Latin America, Europe and the U.S., focusing here on the Hispanic multicultural market.

At Sirius XM he’ll be responsible for the development, acquisition, management and launch of Spanish-language sports, talk/news/entertainment and music channels and initiatives.

Sirius XM announced in April that it would lease 4 channels to National Latino Broadcasting, as part of its merger commitment to diversity in programming.

Just last week, NLB revealed it signed Cristina Saralegui to launch the Cristina Channel, which will air on Sirius XM starting this fall.
