Tribune names new CEO

The Tribune Co. today announced that Eddy Hartenstein, currently publisher of the Los Angeles Times, has been named President and CEO of the company. He’ll continue his role as the L.A. paper’s publisher, and will be commuting back and forth to Tribune headquarters in Chicago.
With his appointment, Tribune dissolves the 4 member executive council that was overseeing the company’s operations.
Tribune’s next bankruptcy hearing is June 14.
