Lopez returns to NAHJ

Anna Lopez Buck

Anna Lopez Buck has been named Interim Executive Director of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, effective immediately.  She was previously the organization’s Executive Director from 1995 to 2003.

Ivan Roman, outgoing NAHJ Executive Director

She takes over from Ivan Román, who has been NAHJ’s ED since 2003.  His last day is Aug. 31.

Anna was most recently Executive Director for Corporate Diversity for the American Red Cross.  She was previously Director of Development for The National GEM Consortium and Executive Director of UNITY: Journalists of Color.

She will be in charge of overseeing NAHJ’s transition and move out of the National Press Building.
