Helft leaves NYT for Fortune

Miguel Helft has left his job as technology writer for the New York Times.  He took a 6 week break before starting his new gig as senior writer for Fortune.  His first day at the magazine is next Monday, August 15.

Prior to his 4 years with the NYT, Miguel was an editorial writer for the San Jose Mercury News.  He previously worked as a senior writer at The Industry Standard and a reporter for the Los Angeles Times.  A Stanford University Computer Science grad, he started his career as a software engineer for Sun Microsystems.
