Univision appoints female execs to Deportes

Univision today announced it has named Victoria Vitarelli Vice President of Marketing and Sharon van Zwieten Senior Executive Producer of News for Univision Deportes. Both will report to Alexander “Sandy” Brown, President of Sports, Univision Communications Inc.

In this newly created role based in New York, Vitarelli will oversee all strategic marketing and brand building endeavors for Univision’s sports properties across all media platforms. She most recently Senior Director of Marketing for the New York Jets.  She was previously VP of Americas Brand Building at MasterCard International.

Van Zwieten will oversee Univision’s sports news programming. She was previously at ESPN Star Sports based in Singapore where she was Senior Executive Producer of News.  Prior to ESPN, she was Sr Executive Producer of “NewsNight with Aaron Brown” at CNN.  She’ll be based in Miami.
