“Latino List” premieres tonight on HBO

September 29, 2011 by Veronica Villafañe

The “Latino List,” an HBO documentary that explores what it means to be Latino in the 21st century, premieres tonight at 8 pm ET.  The film highlights the contributions of Hispanics to the U.S., showing personal stories of high-profile Latino personalities.  Among them:  Emilio and Gloria Estefan, John Leguizamo, America Ferrara, Justice Sonia Sotomayor and financial guru Julie Stav.

In a Facebook post today, Ingrid Durán, executive producer of the film, encouraged friends to watch the documentary: “This has been mine and Catherine M. Pino’s labor of love for the last two years. We want to thank all of our dear friends for agreeing to be part of this project because without their stories we wouldn’t have a film!”

Ingrid is a co-founder of the DC-based philanthropic consulting firm D&P Creative Strategies and former head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
