Moreno joins KENS

September 27, 2011 by Veronica Villafañe

Reporter Mayra Moreno is moving to San Antonio.  She leaves KIAH, the CW-affiliate in Houston, where she has been since 2009, to join KENS-5.  She starts the new gig on Oct. 24th.

“I’m extremely excited to become a part of the KENS 5 news team,” Mayra tells me.  “San Antonio is a great city full of culture. I’ve been wanting to work in that market since the beginning of my career. Leaving KIAH is bittersweet; I felt like a part of a big family. From reporting, anchoring, to working on NEWSFIX it has been great working in Houston.”

Prior to KIAH, Mayra as a reporter and associate producer at KRGV, the ABC-affiliate serving the Texas Rio Grande Valley.
