Vega named ABC News correspondent

Cecilia Vega has left San Francisco’s KGO-7 to become a correspondent for ABC News based in Los Angeles, reporting for all of the network’s platforms.

She starts the new job in October.

Cecilia was hired as a reporter for the ABC station in 2008.  It was her first job as an on-air reporter.

She previously spent 10 years as a newspaper reporter.  She worked for the San Francisco Chronicle, the Press Democrat in Santa Rosa and the San Bernardino Sun.
