O’Brien and Sambolín start new CNN morning shows

December 30, 2011 by Veronica Villafañe

Soledad O'Brien and Zoraida Sambolín

CNN is launching its morning makeover next week.  Starting January 2, the first Monday of 2012,  Zoraida Sambolín and Ashleigh Banfield will be co-hosting “Early Start,” weekdays from 5-7 a.m.

Soledad O’Brien will follow with “Starting Point,” her own two-hour time slot from 7-9 a.m.

CBS, meantime, will debut its new morning show, “CBS This Morning,” on January 9 with Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Erica Hill – without any Latino on-air talent.
