Univision leads all networks with novela finale

Almost 8 million people tuned in to all or part of Monday night’s two-hour finale of “La Fuerza del Destino,” making Univision the number one network among all broadcast networks, regardless of language across all key demographics.

The last episode of the hit novela delivered an average audience of 6.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 3.4 million Adults 18-49, 1.9 million Women 18-49, 1.6 million Men 18-49, 2.0 million Adults 18-34, 1.0 million Women 18-34 and 963,000 Men 18-34 (according to Nielsen data provided by Univision).

The finale was followed by a special episode of “Don Francisco Presenta,” which drew an average audience of over 3.6 million viewers.

According to Univision, the win marks the 40th night the network has ranked as the No. 1 broadcast network among Adults 18-49 – an 11% increase from 2010 and the 91st night it has ranked as the No. 1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 – a 12% increase from last year.
