Univision Communications has been named the exclusive consumer products licensing agent for Grupo Televisa’s brands throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico effective immediately.
The agreement includes Televisa brands such as El Chavo, Chapulín Colorado, Hablando Sola, Chef Oropeza, as well as all licensing for Televisa novelas, reality series, live action and game shows.
Francisco Arenas, VP of Univision’s consumer products team, will lead efforts to secure new merchandising, licensing and promotional deals with retail partners.
Univision hires Televisa exec to handle brands portfolio
In order to help maximize opportunities with the Televisa brands portfolio and to manage the day-to-day operations, Univision has named Omar Fajer Valencia Associate Director of Consumer Products and Marketing. Omar was most recently Sr Marketing Manager of Televisa Consumer Products.
