April 27, 2012 by Veronica Villafañe

Telemundo’s live telecast of the 2012 Billboard Latin Music Awards drew a record audience, averaging 2,439,000 total viewers and was the #1 show across all stations regardless of language, in New York and Miami, according to Nielsen.

It was the network’s highest-rated telecast in its 14-year history as the broadcaster of record for the Billboard Latin Music Awards, reaching a cumulative audience of more than 5.6 million total viewers and an average 1,287,000 adults 18-49.
