Carlos Slim-Larry King venture to launch this summer

May 18, 2012 by Veronica Villafañe

Ora TV, the new internet television network, first reported in January, funded by Carlos Slim will debut this summer.

The venture teams up the Mexican billionaire with TV host Larry King. Former News Corp executive Jon Housman is the CEO.

The network’s centerpiece show will be a 30 minute Larry King interview show with “top-notch guests.”

In an interview with Adweek, Housman said “We’re not looking to build the network around one personality,” and that after launching King’s show, the objective will be to bring other quality content to the digital network.
