Discovery U.S. Hispanic presents its new programming slate

Under the theme of “Discover How Far Curiosity Can Take You,” Discovery U.S. Hispanic today unveiled its 2012-2013 Upfront slate.

This is their 2012-2013 lineup:

Discovery en Español

“Norteamérica” – Documentary which began filming in 2009, takes an all-encompassing view of the continent, using ultra slow motion, time-lapse, and macro photography.

“Volando por el mundo.” The series allows us to view the world from the vantage point of migrating birds.

“2111.” Season 2 of the series that gives insight into what the future might hold for Latin America in the year 2111.

“Batalla de ingenios” – the network’s first-ever original game show is an engineering competition series that will put 12 highly skilled individuals in an 8-stage elimination challenges inspired by the Discovery programming genres: Science, Nature, Survival and Real Life experiences. (U.S. Hispanic production)

“Hard Kicks” – hour-long series that takes viewers into the world of soccer. This series takes the audience behind the scenes of PUMAS, one of the professional leagues leading soccer teams as it conducts pre-season training and tryouts. (U.S. Hispanic production)

“Rinocerontes: Cacería Ilegal” (Rhino Wars) – series follows efforts from a group of private game reserves banding together to combat poachers by enlisting former U.S. Special Forces operatives.

“Pescadores Extremos” (Top Hooker) – fishing competition series.

“Hasta que la Mafia Nos Separe” (I Married a Mobster) – Docu-series follows the lives of mobster’s wives.

“Vivir para Contarlo” –  ordinary people fight to survive extreme conditions. (U.S. Hispanic Production)

“Amor Asesino” – series explores sordid stories of betrayal, deception, and sexual intrigue in crimes of passion.

“Fiebre del Oro” (Gold Rush) – series follows a group of men trying to strike it rich mining for gold in the wilds of the far north.

“Monstruos de Río” (River Monsters: Season 4 and 5) – series follows Jeremy Wade as he uncovers the world’s largest, strangest and most dangerous fish.

Discovery Kids Programming Block (6:00 AM until 9:00 PM)

“Peztronauta”  (Fishtronaut: Season 2)

“Mi Amigazazo” (My Big Big Friend: Season 2)

Discovery Familia Primetime (9:00 PM ET until 12:00 AM)

“10 años Menos” – makeover program transforming the lives of women (U.S. Hispanic Production)

“Sexy y Saludable”

“Enigmas Médicos”

“El Localizador”
