nuvoTV makes new hire, promotes execs

NuvoTVhas hired Morena Calderón-Pérez to fill the newly created position of Director of Advertising Sales in New York.  She’ll report to Craig Geller, SVP of advertising sales. A 20-year Hispanic ad sales vet, she was most recently a network sales account executive for Telemundo Network, where she spent 12 years.

She has also held positions as New York local sales account executive for WPIX-TV/WB 11, and as a media research analyst at Univision Television Network.

Sara Auspitz

Sara Auspitz has been promoted to VP of Programming. She was previously Executive Director of programming – a role she has held since she joined the network in 2010. She reports to María Pérez-Brown, SVP of Programming and Development.

Among the projects she has developed for nuvoTV are Operation: Osmin, Mission Menu, PastPort, Fight Factory, Curvy Girls and a Town Hall special on the election to air this summer in conjunction with NBC News.

Prior to nuvoTV, Auspitz was Director of Programming for Endemol USA. Before that, she spent seven years at TBS as Director of Original Series, where she oversaw development and production on alternative/reality and scripted series, pilots and specials.

Marcus Best

Marcus Best was promoted to Director of Affiliate Marketing from his previous post as affiliate marketing manager. He reports to Judi Lopez, SVP, affiliate sales & marketing. He joined nuvoTV (formerly SiTV) in 2006. He manages events, campaigns, the talent roster and exclusive VOD content for the network.

He was previously marketing manager for urban marketing development at Interscope Records and held positions at Concord Records, Warner Bros. Records, Babyface/Tracey Edmonds/Vibezelect Productions and Black Entertainment Television.
