Telemundo 51 begins simulcasting newscasts on WURN

June 5, 2012 by Veronica Villafañe

Metereologist Luis Carrera, anchors Ambrosio Hernández and María Montoya, and sports anchor Carlos Maxwell.

As of Monday, Telemundo Miami’s 6 and 11pm weekday newscasts can be heard on WURN & WLVJ Actualidad Radio 1020AM and 1040AM.

“The decision to begin simulcasting these additional newscasts on Actualidad 1020AM and 1040AM is the result of the successful collaboration we have had with our colleagues at Actualidad, and also due to the many positive comments we have received from viewers who are grateful to have the ability to listen to our morning newscasts on Actualidad since January,” said Jorge Carballo, President and General Manager of Telemundo 51.

Telemundo 51 currently simulcasts Noticiero 51 Primera Edición on Actualidad at 5 am, with news anchor Carinés Moncada and meteorologist Denise Isaac.

Ambrosio Hernández and María Montoya anchor the 6 and 11pm newscasts, along with chief meteorologist Luis Carrera and sports anchor Carlos Maxwell.
