Vourvoulias – Bush leaves Fox News Latino

After two years with the company, Alberto Vourvoulias-Bush has left his Managing Editor position at Fox News Latino.

“It has been a extraordinary experience to have founded and launched Fox News Latino – which, in a less than 2 years, has become the must-go site for news on Latinos in the United States,” he says.

Alberto is moving with his family to Italy.

“My wife was offered a residency in Rome this coming academic year, and, after mulling it over, we have decided that it is an opportunity too good for our family to let pass.”

His wife is Pulitzer-prize winning author Jhumpa Lahiri. He says he’ll stay on as a consultant for the news site.  His last day was July 3.

Alberto joined FoxNewsLatino.com in August of 2010. He was previously Corporate Executive Editor at ImpreMedia. Before that, he was Executive Editor of El Diario La Prensa newspaper. Prior to joining El Diario, he held positions as Managing Editor of ARTnews, Deputy Editor of Time magazine’s Latin America edition and Director of Time Americas.
