Brazil vs. Mexico Olympic final ranks #1 in top markets

The soccer final between Brazil and Mexico, which aired at 10 am ET on Saturday, August 11 ranked as the most watched Olympic event in Telemundo’s history, averaging 3.6 million total viewers and 2.2 million adults 18-49, according to Nielsen.

The game also ranked #1 In Los Angeles, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Dallas and Phoenix, regardless of language, capturing shares among Spanish language networks ranging from 80% to 97% among total viewers.

Saturday’s game brought in nearly 1.9 million total viewers and 1,077,000 adults 18-49 across the Telemundo stations of Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco and Phoenix, combined.
