Villanueva leaves WPIX

Steve VillanuevaSteve Villanueva, Traffic Anchor and Meteorologist on the PIX11 Morning News is leaving the station.  His last day is September 7.  He’s moving over to WNBC to do weekend weather.  There’s no start date yet for his new job.

Steve has only been at WPIX, the CW-affiliate in New York City, for 8 months.  He joined the station in January of this year. He previously worked as a meteorologist at WNYW, the Fox O&O in New York City, from 2002-06.

He has been a weather anchor since 1997, working for local stations in Texas, California, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and Connecticut before returning to his home state of New York.
