Keoseyan leaves La Opinión

Rubén Keoseyan, Executive Editor of La Opinión in Los Angeles, is leaving the paper. He told his staff yesterday he had received an offer from Telemundo and that his last day will be Sept. 28.

A source tells me Rubén has been hired to lead the news department at KVEA-52 in Los Angeles. Telemundo has not yet confirmed his appointment.

In August, VP Content/News Director Rick Morales left his role at KVEA.

Rubén has been Executive Editor of La Opinión since August of 2011. He previously held the same role at the paper from 2000 to 2005. Before his most recent stint at the L.A. paper, he was Publisher and Editor of La Raza Newspaper in Chicago, where he spent 3 years.

Rubén also worked in Puerto Rico as Editorial Director of Primera Hora newspaper and as an anchor and news director for KSBY-TV in San Luis Obispo.
